If you have done away with most of your cd's and don't wanna waste time creating mp3 cds then this is the stereo for you. This Clarion is a great example of sleekness, and simplicity. The sound is great with my infinity speakers and it does everything i need. Works perfectly with my iphone and charges it as well. Also works great with a thumb drive. There are no buttons, everything is touch sensitive. I purchased this to replace a Pioneer that had a knob that moved everywhere except where i needed it too. I was looking for something simple without a lot of buttons and no cd player and this head unit definitely delivers! There's 2 things I wish it had; a removable faceplate and changing display colors. So, I'll make this short and sweet. In addition to hpf and lpf, there is a ridiculously comprehensive EQ within the BeatEQ that allows you to manipulate the sound spectrum at a number of frequencies. Your sound will be rich and bold, all the while clear at higher volumes. Provided you're equipped with decent interior speakers and a decent amplifier/subwoofer package, the FZ409 will draw maximum efficiency from your system. I've got more power in the trunk than any other system has allowed. Buy it, and feel the power. Works great for iDevices

Works great for all iDevices. Charges and control iPhone 4 (firmware 4.3.1). Controls iPad but don't charge just need $5 adapter. Watch all videos and play all internet radio apps, games, etc. on iPad with audio output thru USB, just add a iPad car mount and 3G for internet (Note: you must turn on iPod "simple mode" in settings on the receiver). I also connected a usb 250GB hard drive for audio only (Note: hard drive must be FAT formatted). I ran the usb wire to the glove box so everything is hidden. The touch controls are not as smooth as an iDevice, but is okay once you get used to it. Hope this is helpful
